dawn
the concert begins
crickets fiddling
amid the reeds
Red fall foliage
the Sun at noon
glorious
early evening
lengthening of shadows
blare of car horns
Catbird 55
morning --
Eos musses my hair
flirtatiously
a sprig of gladiolus
in a soda bottle vase
ghosts of the poor
shreds of
a cocoon
a spirit liberated
Pillars of the earth
live oaks standing
as if primordial
early morning exercise
the Sun's pull up
clears the horizon
silver reflection
and then a splash
a tarpon's leap
fireflies in summer
I must make do
for lost cocuyos
an ebbing tide
and me
recessional
Gazing at the Moon
on a warm July evening
tranquility
dog days
yet to bark
just snoozing
in the evening coolness
of a verandah
her eyes reflect stars
Impertinent
the rays of dawn
intruding on my sleep
Clouds gather
in a darkening sky
a walk interrupted
what the tide leaves/ bleached shells, driftwood, and seaweed/ so many treasures
snow in june . . .
the white fluttering
of butterflies
Splat !
a windshield and a bug
find each other
silk from a web
entangled in my hair
a homeless spider
